Mosjøen Winter Art Challenge (MWAC) will not be completed in 2010

 

 

It is with great regret we must accept that we failed to carry on MWAC in 2010 with the weight and power that the event deserves.

 

The ambitions that formed the basis for MWAC is not in relation to the actual resources and time we have disposable.

 

The first prize of NOK 100 000 was placed at the disposal of SpareBank 1. The high premium attracted great interest from artists and gave attention in the media. The registration was very good, but MWAC is ment to be an international event and we did not reach all the way with the marketing.

 

The high first prize despite, there were a number of other assumptions that had to be met before the competition could take place.

 

There was simply not enough time and resources to put in to marketing and the necessary measures.

 

The planning of MWAC 2011 has started, and we hope to do the event in february next year.
