MOSJØEN WINTER ART CHALLENGE
FAQ:
Q : Do I have to be in Vefsn/Grane/Hattfjelldal when I paint my works for the competition?
A: Yes, you do. But we can’t control this. It is based on trust.
Q: Do I have to paint a winter motive from Vefsn/Grane/Hattfjelldal, or can I choose something else?
A: You are free to choose winter motive. It does not have to be from this area. Only painted here!
Q: Must my winter motive be something recognizable, or am I free to paint abstract.
A: You are free to paint abstract motives.
Q: I can’t come before Friday night. Is that too late to register and attend to the competition?
A: No, it is not to late. The important thing is to register in time to make your work before delivery to the jury on Saturday night at 6 pm
Q: Are there any rules when it comes to the presentation of the work? Framing and so on?
A: You don’t have to frame your work. But present it the best way in your eyes. We recommend to bring frames for your work if it is needed. The frame-shop might be occupied.
Q: Will there be any social happening during the competition?
A: Yes, all the artist is invited (free entrance) to the local bar/restaurant Gilles both Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. There it is possible to buy food, drinks and it will also be live music.
Q: How is the exhibition going to work?
A: When all the artists have submitted their works to the jury (max 3), the jury wil start their work to selectt the top 40 works for the exhibition. When the exhibition opens Sunday at 14:00 the jury will have picked the winner and the other price winners. A group art students will help to install the exhibition.
The exhibition will be presented for one week, and works witch are not sold will be returned to your address for free (except works represented on computers/TV/projectors witch have to be picked up at the gallery)
Works will be sent by the post as package, and are then insured by their rules.
Length of the exhibition, and weather it will move to another town will be announced later.
